This 9,000 sqft family house with an integrated covered swimming pool is located on the Coombe Hill Estate in Kingston.
The plan and section of the house are organised around a central, full-height volume that forms the primary spatial and visual axis of the home. From the front entrance, this top-lit hall establishes a clear and direct connection through the
house to the expansive rear garden and pool building beyond.
At first-floor level, the central hall becomes a dramatic internal street, with bridge links connecting the parents’ and guest accommodation on one side to the children’s bedrooms and playroom on the other. This arrangement both unifies the house spatially and clearly articulates family and guest zones within a single, coherent architectural composition.
