Construction has commenced on this design-led residential development, comprising a two-storey building with roof accommodation delivering 16 apartments on a key approach into Epsom. Occupying a prominent corner plot, the scheme establishes a clear gateway presence at the threshold of the old market town.
The building massing is carefully composed, gently stepping up along both street elevations to a defined corner element. The architecture is articulated as a series of smaller blocks,
expressed through two-tone brickwork and a staggered building line that breaks down scale and responds sensitively to the surrounding streetscape. Pitched roofs, varied setbacks, integral balconies at roof level, projecting balconies, and private ground-floor terraces enrich the elevations and residential experience.
The proposal represents a considered evolution of an earlier, refused scheme, achieving a more balanced scale, improved parking provision, and a safer relationship with the adjacent highway network.
